Materials and Methods: A total of 136 Ixodes ricinus ticks, collected in Ternopil (Ukraine) region, including 126 adults (70 female and 56 males), and 10 nymphs were examined. the identification of the species and their development form was based on morphological characterisitcs. Results: PCR with B5S-Bor and 23S-Bor primers resulted in Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato DNA amplification among six ticks (4.4%). The detailed analysis based on the DNA sequencing showed the presence DNA of Borrelia afzelii in four samples; the remaining two represented Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato complex, although their genospecies were not determined. The research confirmed the dominance of Borrelia afzelii genospecies in the ticks from Ukraine. The issues investigated were developed based on research conducted between 2014-2015 among employees of State Forests in Poland. In each of the 9 forest districts selected, 25 people were selected for testing from 3 groups of employees: foresters, deputy foresters and supervisors, together with administrative staff. Altogether, 399 people took part in the study conducted by means of a questionnaire. The study showed that the overall level of satisfaction with interpersonal relations among employees of State Forests in Poland is high. Analysis indicated that the demographic characteristics of respondents, such as age, gender or place of residence, had no significant influence on satisfaction with interpersonal relations in the workplace. However, the level of satisfaction with interpersonal relations was positively affected by a high level of overall job satisfaction and satisfaction with remuneration. Decrease in the level of satisfaction was influenced by the accumulation of stressful life events and employment in administration. Satisfaction with interpersonal relationships in the workplace is an important indicator of employee mental health. Studies have shown the need to broaden the scope of research into the variables that determine the character and personality of an employee.^ainterpersonal relationship^aforestry workers^adeterminants of satisfaction

The difficulties faced by parents of children with autism spectrum disorders most often include a difficult access to specialists, high costs of the conducted therapy, lack of systematic procedures, as well as an excessive distance to the facility where treatment is applied.^aproblem psychospołeczny^apsychosocial problem^aniepełnosprawność intelektualna^aintellectual disability

In humans, infection happens through the respiratory system (inhalation of secretions of infected rodents with dust) or through the direct contact with a rodent. The bank vole (Myodes glareolus), which inhabits areas of almost the whole of Europe, is especially responsible for the transmission of hantavirus serotype Puumala. The primary goal of the study was evaluation of the state of health of forestry workers by laboratory diagnosis of diseases caused by hantaviruses serotype Puumala. The study covered a group of 820 randomly selected workers of the State Forests from 32 Forest Districts located in the area of the whole Poland. The results show that the largest number of seropositive results among forestry workers was obtained in the Regions of Łódź, Rzeszów and Bydgoszcz. The largest number of positive results, 3 (11.5%), were noted in the Piotrków Trybunalski Forestry District in the Łódź Region. In the whole of Poland, 12 seropositive results were noted (1.5%) and 26 doubtful (3.2%). The distribution of the positive and doubtful results obtained may suggest that in given regions large populations of bank vole may occur. Bank voles is the vector of hantavirus serotype Puumala. The conducted studies suggest the occurrence of hantaviruses Puumala in large forest complexes in the area of eastern and central Poland, and in the Kłodawa area of the Zielona Góra Region. People residing and working in these areas are exposed to infection. This infection seems to be comparable with the data from other countries. Do badań zakwalifikowano 170 pacjentów.

Isolated strains were also classified in the scale of biosafety levels (BSL). Material and methods: The study used 23 strains of fungi cultured from samples of wheat and rye (grain, grain dust obtained during threshing and soil) collected in the Lublin region (eastern Poland). API ZYM test (bioMérieux) was carried out according to the manufacturer's instructions. Classification of BSL (Biosafety levels) was based on the current literature. Results: High enzymatic activity was found in strains cultured in media containing 1% of wheat grain (Bipolaris holmi, Penicillium decumbens) and with an addition of 1% of rye grain (Cladosporium herbarum, Aspergillus versicolor, Alternaria alternata). The total number of enzymes varied depending on the type of media, and in most cases it was higher in the culture where an addition of cereal grains was used. Conclusions: Isolated strains of fungi reveal differences in the profiles of the enzyme assay. It can be assumed that the substrate enriched in grains stimulate the higher activity of mold enzymes.^aZagórski, Jerzy^cx^agrzyby pleśniowe^amold fungi^azymogram^azymogram^abiohazards

Health management is a system of preventive medicine that takes into account the whole person and the total influences, including social, with respect to relationships with others in a family and in the place of work, psychological and environmental factors that affect health. Health, the state of physical and psychological well-being, plays fundamental role in the life of each individual. It is a value subjected to special protection, not only by individuals themselves, but also by the way of social solidarity. Therefore, in the area of an occupational activity a broader perception on health is necessary, not only from the side of employees, but from employers and also the State. Diseases or disabilities, fatigue or occupational burn-out are factors responsible for social and economic losses. This study presents the legal limitations associated with the performing work by female veterinarians in relation to the protection of their health. Health risks for women employed in veterinary clinics are presented and discussed from the aspects of particularly dangerous and arduous work activities.^aekspozycja zawodowa^aoccupational exposure^aochrona zdrowia^ahealth protection^akobieta^awomen^aweterynaria^aveterinary

The assessment included such parameters as: ash, fiber, fat, Na, K, Ca and Mg content. Inorganic phosphates, molecular weight and deacetylation degree were also determined. Based on these results a number of differences between substances was identified. The differences are related to varied structure that is due to different methods of two types of chitosan production. The difference in viscosity was the most pronounced parameter. It has been proved the viscosity of fungal chitosan was 5 times lower compared to crustaceous chitosan. The fungal chitosan was characterized with higher deacetylation degree (DD) than crustaceous chitosan. The deacetylation process has significant influence on the structure and chemical parameters of the chitosan. The chemical elements content was differentiation. Relatively low concentration of sodium was identified in the fungal chitosan. However, it contained high levels of nitrogen, fiber and fat when compared to the crustaceous chitosan.^aZagórski, Jerzy^cy^agrzyby^acrustaceous^askorupiaki^aviscosity
