Streszczenie: The purpose of this article is to identify contemporary threats to organizations and determine their impact on organizational resilience. The publication addresses risk management and organizational resilience issues. Design/Methodology/Approach: The authors pointed out global threats to contemporary organizations and characterized risk management in the organization. They then conducted a detailed analysis of statistical data, both national and European Union statistics, regarding the use of information technology in enterprises. The impact of individual threats on their functioning was also analyzed. The following research problem was formulated: What impact do individual threats have on organizational resilience, and how can proper risk management help in combating them? For the purposes of the research, the method of literature analysis, internet sources, and a detailed analysis of data from national and foreign sources, mainly the Central Statistical Office and Eurostat, were used. Findings: Well-designed and implemented risk management can significantly increase the organization's resilience to threats. Thanks to it, the organization is better prepared to predict and identify threats, assess risk, take appropriate remedial actions, quickly respond to crisis events, and rebuild operations after a crisis event, allowing for increased resilience and opportunities for survival and development in an unstable environment. Practical implications: The article discusses basic concepts related to risk management and organizational resilience and presents examples of actions that organizations can implement to increase their resilience to threats. Originality/Value: In this article, the authors continue the discussion on risk management and organizational resilience, pointing out the need for research in the area of the impact of risk management on the organization's resilience to threats of various characteristics and the impact of risk management on various aspects of organizational functioning, such as financial results, reputation, or continuity of operation.

Streszczenie: The main aim of this article is to characterize threats in the cyber domain affecting the security of European Union (EU) member states. Design/Methodology/Approach: The primary research question is formulated as follows: Does the European Union play a significant role in shaping cybersecurity? Correspondingly, the hypothesis adopted to address the research question is as follows: The EU takes actions to enhance resilience against cyberattacks. In the initial section of the article, fundamental concepts of cyber security and cyberspace are defined. Subsequently, EU tools, Union legal regulations, as well as the obligations of key entities pertaining to cyber threats are presented. The main part of the article provides a detailed characterization of new and major threats to EU member states Findings: The European Union plays a significant role in shaping European cybersecurity, primarily through legislation and its subordinate institutions, which are intended to prevent and rapidly and effectively respond to emerging and new cyber threats. Practical implications: The study relies on the latest research presented in documents and reports in the field of cybersecurity, published between 2020-2022 by international organizations. Additionally, an analysis is conducted based on recent scholarly articles. Information is also sourced from national legal acts and documents published by European Union authorities. Originality/Value: This article addresses security management issues related to the field of cybersecurity, which constitutes a new challenge in light of the rapid development of technology and emerging cyber threats in cyberspace.
