Research hypothesis; biostimulants can contribute to the change of vitamin C content in edible potato tubers. This hypothesis was verified in a three-year field experiment. The effect of four variants of the use of biostimulators: BrownBio Gold (auxin and cytokinin), GreenOk (humic substances), Kelpak SL (Ecklonia maxima), Titanit (titanium) in tubers of three potato cultivars on the content of vitamin C. The applied biostimulants had a significant impact on the content of vitamin C. The highest increase of this component was found in tubers harvested from the plots sprayed with BrownBio Gold. Vitamin C content under the influence of biostimulants was on average 205.0 mgˇkg-1 of fresh weight. The experiment was designed in triplicates, using the method of random sub-blocks in a split-plot system. The investigated factors were: I - three varieties of edible potato: Bartek, Gawin and Honorata. II - five ways of management: 1. control object - with mechanical weed control; 2. the herbicide Harrier 295 ZC - 2.0 dm3ˇha-1; 3. the herbicide Harrier 295 ZC - 2.0 dm3ˇha-1 with the biostimulant Kelpak SL - 4.0 dm3ˇha-1; 4. the herbicide Sencor 70 WG - 1.0 kgˇha-1. 5. the herbicide Sencor 70 WG - 1.0 kgˇha-1 with the biostimulant Asahi SL - 1.5 dm3ˇha-1. The aim of the study was to determine the influence of herbicides and biostimulants on the content and uptake of the selected macroelements: phosphorus, calcium and magnesium, with the yield of potato tubers. The content of phosphorus, calcium and magnesium and their uptake with the yield of tubers depended significantly on the varieties, weed control and weather conditions during the growth season. The purpose of the study was to identify the impact of the microbiological preparation UGmax on the content of crude and true protein in edible potato tubers. The experiment was established according to randomized split-plot method, in three replications. The examined factors included: I - cultivar, II - way of application of the microbiological preparation UGmax. The assessment covered two medium early cultivars of potato (Satina and Tajfun) and five methods of application of the UGmax preparation, differing in doses and timing of application. Crude and true protein content in potato tubers was higher on all objects, on which the microbiological preparation UGmax was applied, regardless of dose and timing of application, in comparison with a control object, where the UGmax preparation was not used. Chemical analyses indicated that more crude and true protein was accumulated by the Satina cultivar than the Tajfun cultivar. Crude and true protein content in potato tubers was determined by weather factors in the period of conduct of the experiment. The largest quantity of the concerned components was accumulated by tubers in the vegetation period of 2009, when, in July, low quantity of precipitation (26.4 mm) and optimal air temperature was recorded for growth and development of potato plants (19.4 C).Mystkowska, Iwonapotatomicrobiological preparation UGmax : 99984915.0000015.000PUNKTACJA KBNPUNKTACJA MINISTERSTWALISTA FILADELFIJSKAIMPACT FACTOR15.000PUNKTACJA UWM : 009984.000 : A : 003 : Vol. 27 : OTHER Uwagi: 009998.3091018-4619003Crude and true protein content in potato tubers (Solanum tubersoum L.) depending on the ways of application of the microbiological preparation UGmaxFresenius Environmental Bulletin20181018-46192018/2019Baranowska, AlicjaproteinKopia dostępna w Sekcji Bibliometrii.FINAL_PUBLISHEDThe research results are based on a three-year field experiment conducted in the Agricultural Experimental Station belonging to the University of Natural Sciences and Humanities in Siedlce.
