The authors draw attention to the roles of communication competencies and their social overtones, seeing in these elements both opportunities and threats to the involvement of employees in the performance of official tasks, as well as their readiness to deepen relations with their direct superior. The presented results of empirical research concern the organisation of the Ministry of National Defence and the State Fire Service and are only an element of a larger research project. The aim of the research process was to determine the opportunities and threats generated by aspects of organisational communication in the context of maintaining a satisfactory state of personal security of the examined institutions participating in activities in the field of defence and protection of population, property and the environment.

Communication in multigenerational project teams during the COVID-19 pandemic posed challenges for both team members and project managers, but it also opened up new possibilities for project management. Design/Methodology/Approach: The aim of this article is to diagnose barriers and disruptions in the communication process within multigenerational project teams during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as to identify the tools and communication technologies used by project managers during the pandemic. Empirical research also provides an assessment of the tools and communication technologies used by team members and their analysis. Findings: Communication has a significant impact on the quality of project team management; therefore, it is crucial to adapt communication tools and technologies to the capabilities and expectations of team members. Team members often come from different generations, so it is important to understand their strengths and weaknesses and select communication tools and technologies in a way that satisfies both team members and project managers in terms of the project's outcomes. Practical implications: The article identified communication tools and technologies used in multigenerational teams during the COVID-19 pandemic and presented an evaluation and analysis of these tools and technologies from the perspective of team members. The findings of the empirical research can be utilized in times of crisis when project teams are exclusively working remotely. The presented results can be used to establish a code of best practices. Originality/Value: The authors present the effective use of communication tools and technologies in managing diverse project teams during times of exclusive remote work, which positively impacts project management effectiveness and stakeholder satisfaction. The COVID-19 pandemic necessitated the transition of most activities to the virtual realm, meaning that different generations had to adapt their communication preferences to online tools. The need to utilize video conferencing platforms and online chats contributed to greater intergenerational integration in communication.

Design/Methodology/Approach: Realisation of the goal indicated will help find an answer to the research problem: How does the occurrence of a crisis affect the functioning of an organisation, particularly in a time of chaos and uncertainty? Qualitative methods were applied to obtain an answer to the research question posed. The research made use of the latest report containing statistics concerning crisis and resilience of organisations, an analysis was also conducted based on both domestic and foreign scientific articles from recent years. Findings: The authors formulated the following conclusions: Crisis is inevitable, but its effects can be mitigated. Organisations which are prepared for a crisis have a greater chance of successfully overcoming it. Crisis management is a complex process requiring the commitment of the entire team. Organisations should conduct regular reviews of their crisis plans to ensure that they have not become outdated and their effectiveness has not decreased. Organisations should also carry out crisis training to test their plans and prepare employees for the event of a crisis. Practical implications: Crises may have various intensities and effects. Some may be short lasting and have no significant impact on the working of the organisation. Others may be long-term and lead to serious losses, or even the collapse of a company. In order to minimise the risk of a crisis, organisations should apply the appropriate crisis management strategies. which indicates the necessity to take these into account in the organisation's practices, in plans and action strategies, stressing the creation of various scenarios for future development. Originality/Value: An analysis of the materials gathered proves that crises may become a catalyst for change with regard to generating new solutions in the field of coping with crisis situations in an organisation. Particularly noteworthy are organisations in the energy, technology, media and communications sectors, and in the health industry, due to the experience they have in implementing integrated programmes to increase immunity, which may inspire other organisations to take such decisions.

The definition of the term Interdisciplinary Team in the medical context is very simple. It is a group of people, specialists in various fields of medicine, dealing with solving a specific problem using the resources at the disposal of each member of such a Team. Polish realities in many cases are far from this concept, which, unfortunately, may result in worse therapy outcomes. Although each of the members of this team may think that his contribution is the most important, it is only the sum of all activities that translates into success, the effect of which is regaining the health lost by the patient, and this success is achieved by not one person but a multi-person team. Currently, it is not possible to provide a patient with only one specialist with the full range of medical services guaranteeing success. Treatment is a complex process involving diagnosticians (imaging diagnostics, laboratory diagnostics), a doctor, physiotherapist, psychologist, dietitian, nurse and many other specialists without whom it is difficult to imagine any treatment activities. The group should be led by a leader, but information on the patient's health should be available to each member of the therapeutic team, and decisions should be made on the basis of joint arrangements, so that none of the team members "pulls in their way" but contributes to mutual success, what a healthy patient is. The work raises problems such as the lack of reliability of information, points to the unfavourable phenomenon of "generalization" of disease entities and the frequent dissonance in the selection of appropriate therapeutic measures. The article indicates only a few situations that cause inconsistencies in the patient's rehabilitation process. The rights and scope of the work of a physiotherapist on the basis of current legal documents were emphasized, the possibilities of extending the qualifications of physiotherapists were highlighted and the opportunities that would be granted to physiotherapists after obtaining additional qualifications were emphasized as well.

Streszczenie: Aim: The aim of the study was the analysis of the problem of verbal communication in care and educational institutions and family-run children's houses. Methods: Two methods: diagnostic survey and study of individual cases were used in the research. Results: The occurrence of numerous problems refer to the development of verbal communication both in care and educational centres and family-run children's houses. Conclusions: Based on the conducted research, we can note serious problems related to verbal communication. The most common disorders among children are delayed speech development and dyslalia.

Speech development, which has a genetical basis and depends on innate attributes, is possible only in the context of the social environment. The aim of the study was the analysis of the problem of verbal communication in care and educational institutions and family-run children's houses in the Lublin province. The material for the article was created as part of the project "Education, levelling developmental and educational deficiencies of children under the care of family-run children's houses as well as the educational care centre". The project was implemented by the Department of Pedagogy of Higher State School in Biała Podlaska. There were used two methods in the research: diagnostic survey and study of individual cases. The following questionnaires were used: proprietary questionnaires for charges, interview questionnaires with educators of educational care centres and family houses, an observation sheet and interviews with coordinators and directors of the examined institutions. The occurrence of numerous problems refer to the development of verbal communication both in care and educational centers and family-run children's houses. This function is performed more advantageous in a family home.

Badania potwierdziły przyjęte hipotezy o powszechnym wykorzystaniu różnych mass mediów dla pozyskania informacji przydatnych dla celów zakupowych, edukacyjnych i kulturalnych. Z badań wynika, że mieszkańcy mają wartościujący, często krytyczny, stosunek do wiarygodności informacji przekazywanych przez mass media. Streszczenie: The subject of the work is to assess the manner and power of the influence of various types of mass media on the decisions made by people and on the functioning of a rural community. A particular purpose of the work is to assess the influence of mass media on the residents' decisions in the sphere of economy, education, culture and entertainment. The work includes the theoretical part written using the literature and the empirical part written using surveys of the population of a 100 residents who visited the municipality's office. The studies confirmed the assumed hypotheses about the widespread use of various mass media to obtain information useful for purchasing, educational and cultural purposes. The studies show that the residents have a valuating, often critical, attitude to the credibility of information provided by mass media.

Streszczenie: The presented study refers to the importance of strategic communication in building the image of a state or other entity which aims to implement the adopted strategy among mass recipients, focused both on the unity of the nation and the international community. The study identifies the types, kinds and functions of the strategy, referring to the concepts of strategic communication and knowledge in the field of public relations. The aim of the study is to indicate the difference between a communication strategy in management and quality (PR) science and a communication strategy in security sciences. In the era of developing technology and the mass flow of information, building a civilian power, based on the soft resources of states, seems to be a universal strategy of presence on the international market which makes the current and socially necessary subject matter selected. The work referred to the civil and military plane of information activities.
