The publication addresses risk management and organizational resilience issues. Design/Methodology/Approach: The authors pointed out global threats to contemporary organizations and characterized risk management in the organization. They then conducted a detailed analysis of statistical data, both national and European Union statistics, regarding the use of information technology in enterprises. The impact of individual threats on their functioning was also analyzed. The following research problem was formulated: What impact do individual threats have on organizational resilience, and how can proper risk management help in combating them? For the purposes of the research, the method of literature analysis, internet sources, and a detailed analysis of data from national and foreign sources, mainly the Central Statistical Office and Eurostat, were used. Findings: Well-designed and implemented risk management can significantly increase the organization's resilience to threats. Thanks to it, the organization is better prepared to predict and identify threats, assess risk, take appropriate remedial actions, quickly respond to crisis events, and rebuild operations after a crisis event, allowing for increased resilience and opportunities for survival and development in an unstable environment. Practical implications: The article discusses basic concepts related to risk management and organizational resilience and presents examples of actions that organizations can implement to increase their resilience to threats. Originality/Value: In this article, the authors continue the discussion on risk management and organizational resilience, pointing out the need for research in the area of the impact of risk management on the organization's resilience to threats of various characteristics and the impact of risk management on various aspects of organizational functioning, such as financial results, reputation, or continuity of operation.

The authors draw attention to the roles of communication competencies and their social overtones, seeing in these elements both opportunities and threats to the involvement of employees in the performance of official tasks, as well as their readiness to deepen relations with their direct superior. The presented results of empirical research concern the organisation of the Ministry of National Defence and the State Fire Service and are only an element of a larger research project. The aim of the research process was to determine the opportunities and threats generated by aspects of organisational communication in the context of maintaining a satisfactory state of personal security of the examined institutions participating in activities in the field of defence and protection of population, property and the environment.

Design/Methodology/Approach: Realisation of the goal indicated will help find an answer to the research problem: How does the occurrence of a crisis affect the functioning of an organisation, particularly in a time of chaos and uncertainty? Qualitative methods were applied to obtain an answer to the research question posed. The research made use of the latest report containing statistics concerning crisis and resilience of organisations, an analysis was also conducted based on both domestic and foreign scientific articles from recent years. Findings: The authors formulated the following conclusions: Crisis is inevitable, but its effects can be mitigated. Organisations which are prepared for a crisis have a greater chance of successfully overcoming it. Crisis management is a complex process requiring the commitment of the entire team. Organisations should conduct regular reviews of their crisis plans to ensure that they have not become outdated and their effectiveness has not decreased. Organisations should also carry out crisis training to test their plans and prepare employees for the event of a crisis. Practical implications: Crises may have various intensities and effects. Some may be short lasting and have no significant impact on the working of the organisation. Others may be long-term and lead to serious losses, or even the collapse of a company. In order to minimise the risk of a crisis, organisations should apply the appropriate crisis management strategies. which indicates the necessity to take these into account in the organisation's practices, in plans and action strategies, stressing the creation of various scenarios for future development. Originality/Value: An analysis of the materials gathered proves that crises may become a catalyst for change with regard to generating new solutions in the field of coping with crisis situations in an organisation. Particularly noteworthy are organisations in the energy, technology, media and communications sectors, and in the health industry, due to the experience they have in implementing integrated programmes to increase immunity, which may inspire other organisations to take such decisions.

Design/Methodology/Approach: The research question posed is: What impact did the COVID-19 pandemic have on the utilisation of information technologies in enterprises? To address these questions, qualitative methods were employed. A detailed analysis of statistical data, both at national and European Union levels, regarding the utilisation of information technologies in enterprises and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on their operations, was conducted. The research utilised literature analysis, online sources, and an in-depth examination of data from national sources such as the Central Statistical Office (GUS) and Eurostat. Findings: The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the utilisation of information technologies in companies, affecting their functioning in the virtual space and planned activities. The development of the digital space expanded the capabilities of enterprises, introduced the possibility of remote work, and enabled communication through digital tools. Ensuring information security played a crucial role in the process of management, storage, and data transfer. Practical Implications: The analysis of the collected material demonstrates that the integration of management systems plays an important role in contemporary enterprises. This is a complex process that requires information technology skills, knowledge, and competencies among employees and managerial staff. Therefore, it is important to focus on the needs of seeking and implementing increasingly advanced systems for data collection, transmission, and protection in organisations. Originality/Value: The analysis of the gathered material shows that digitization has become a necessity and an essential source providing access to the latest information. The authors present a multidimensional issue of information security in the process of enterprise management.
