The aim of this study was to present the physioprophylaxis of the aging process in people aged 50 and above from the Lublin Voivodeship in Poland and the Ternopil region in Ukraine through physical activity, taking into account health condition, regularity of check-ups, sources of knowledge, forms of activity, age and the level of education. Material and methods: The study group involved 121 people from the Lublin Voivodeship and 102 people from the Ternopil region. A questionnaire designed by the authors was used in the study. Results: In the group of respondents from the Lublin Voivodeship, younger age was correlated with more frequent participation in power walks, dancing, Nordic walking, jogging, active tourism as well as strength and flexibility training (p<0.05). Better health condition was observed in those individuals who reported more frequent power walks, cycling, working on the plot, Nordic walking, active tourism and strength training (p<0.05). Statistically significant regularity of check-ups was reported only in individuals who practiced cycling (p<0.05). No correlations between these variables were reported in the study group from Ternopil (p>0.05). Conclusions: The analysis of the obtained data showed that study participants from Poland more often engage in physical activity and perceive their health condition as good more frequently than the respondents from Ukraine. Age and health status were the factors influencing the frequency and choice of physical activity forms undertaken by the respondents. Cel. Celem pracy było uzyskanie i przedstawienie deklaracji studentów pielęgniarstwa i fizjoterapii dotyczących znajomości chorób cywilizacyjnych i realizacji fizjoprofilaktyki ChC przez regularną, umiarkowaną AF. Materiał i metoda. Przebadano 152 studentów PSW w Białej Podlaskiej - 82 z pielęgniarstwa i 70 z fizjoterapii. W sondażu wykorzystano autorską ankietę dotyczącą samooceny wiedzy studentów na temat ChC i stosowania fizjoprofilaktyki ChC poprzez AF. Do analizy statystycznejwykorzystano program SPSS i testy: Phi i test V Cramera. Wyniki. Streszczenie: The task of physioprophylaxis is to promote health-related behaviors as well as to shape and maintain the fitness and efficiency of people of all ages in order to prevent disability. Civilization diseases (CHC) are the diseases associated with the negative effects of living in conditions of highly developed civilization. The inclusion of CHC in literature most often exposes their determinants, among which physical activity (PA) is a very important health behavior. Aim. The aim of the thesis is to obtain and present the declarations of nursing and physiotherapy students regarding knowledge of civilization diseases and the implementation of CHC physioprophy by regular and moderate PA. Material and method. 152 PSW students in Biała Podlaska were tested, among them 82 from nursing and 70 from physiotherapy 70. The survey used a proprietary questionnaire on students' knowledge about CHC and the use of CHC physioprophy by PA. SPSS and tests: Phi and V Kramer test were used for statistical analysis. Results. The results show a high level of students' knowledge about CHC (from 71.1 to 90.8%) and low level of CHC physioprophylaxis by PA (from 36.2 to 59.2%). Conclusions. 1. Nursing students more often than physiotherapy ones claim to have knowledge about diseases of the digestive, respiratory, immune and mental systems. Women more frequently than men indicated their knowledge, and in the case of diseases of the digestive system a statistically significant relationship occurred. 2. Subjects who did not know about CHC were more likely to indicate that they did not pursue physiotherapy. The relationship between not having knowledge and not physioprophylaxis was important in both groups in relation to diseases; motion, cancer, gastrointestinal, immune and neurological systems.

Streszczenie: Introduction. When choosinf a sanatorium, patients use two main motivations: health tourism (primary physioprophylaxis) and treatment (secondary physioprophylaxis). Objective: to study the level of patients awareness of the methods of physioprophylaxis of noncommunicable diseases (NCD), taking into account the motivation for staaying in a sanatorium. Material and research methods. A medical and sociological survey of patients (n=101) was conducted in the sanatorium "Neman-72" (Belarus). all the respondents were divided into 2 groups: those who arrived at the sanatorium for the treatment of chronic diseases (59.4%) and vacationers (tourists with a preventive focus - 40.6%). Results and discussion: The groups of respondents differed in demographic indicators (place of residence, education, age). 71.3% of the patients rated their health as good as good, 25.7% - as weakly or very weakly (43.3% of the respondents of the first group). Patients' diseases were the following: chronic cardiovascular diseases, disorders of the musculoskeletal system. the main risk factors that pose the greatest danger to healht (named by patients) are smoking, alcohol and low level of physical activity and distress (representatives of the second group). The patients of the sanatorium are characterized by a high level of awareness about noncommunicable diseases (pathology of the cardiovascular system and musculoskeletal system) and about the methods of physioprophylaxis in these diseases. Conclusion. Sanatorium-resort treatment is important in the system of measures to preserve and strengthen the health of the population; it is able to increase awareness of citizens about risk factors and methods of physioprophylaxis, which help to reduce morbidity. sanatorium-resort treatment raises awareness of the population about therapeutic and preventive measures, forms a culture of public health and raises the level of knowledge about physioprophylaxis and its application.

One of the types of these services is physioprophylaxis, i.e. prophylactic activity consisting in promotion of pro-health behaviours as well as development and maintenance of the fitness and endurance of people of all ages to prevent disability. The term 'physioprophylaxis', which has been familiar to physiotherapists only, has been known in Poland in the area of health culture for merely a few years. The authors of the study believe that there is a need to promote the knowledge about the role of physioprophylaxis in the area of health culture, education, science, and society. The role of physical activity in physioprophylaxis is emphasised as well. It is evident that the legal regulations of the profession of physiotherapists are not reflected in appreciation of their comprehensive preventive and therapeutic competences in the health care system or in the general public awareness.

Physioprophylaxis can be oriented towards practicing healthy lifestyle behaviours, minimizing disease risk factors, or attenuating the consequences of the disease, surgery, and/or disability. Type 1 diabetes is a chronic metabolic disease characterized by hyperglycaemia, i.e. high blood glucose levels. It is caused by the dysfunction or destruction of ß cells of pancreatic islets of Langerhans, which are responsible for the production and secretion of insulin. Type 1 diabetes is most common in children and adolescents. According to the 2018 report, 6,400 children aged 0-14 years and about 180,000 people over 14 years old suffer from type 1 diabetes in Poland alone. Physical activity is an important stimulus for optimal physiological development of children and adolescents, and is an important factor in reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and mortality. Physical exercise reduces the need for insulin and increases the sensitivity of cells to insulin, so that the daily dose of insulin can be reduced. The Polish Diabetes Association recommends that children with type 1 diabetes should exercise for more than one hour a day in order to reduce the risk of vascular complications associated with the disease. The aim of this paper is to examine the effects of type 1 diabetes physioprophylaxis in children in the form of physical exercise, based on previous literature. The majority of research indicates physical activity has a positive effect on physiological function in children with type 1 diabetes, specifically reducing the risk of hypoglycaemia, high blood glucose level, insulin demand, and premature death. Cukrzyca typu 1 występuje najczęściej u dzieci i młodzieży.
