Na wstępie został omówiony proces wychowania do wartości. Mówiąc o wychowaniu do wartości należy zwrócić uwagę na rolę jaka odgrywają różne środowiska wychowawcze. Najważniejszym miejscem, gdzie kształtuje się hierarchia wartości dziecka jest jego rodzina. Następnie środowisko szkolne w sposób zamierzony i ukierunkowany wpływa na wartości ucznia. Nauczyciel przekazujący dzieciom w szkole określone wiadomości, jednocześnie wprowadza je w świat wartości. Grupa rówieśnicza również odgrywa istotną rolę w kształtowaniu wartości młodego człowieka. Obecnie jednym z istotnych czynników kształtujących system wartości są mass media. Streszczenie: This article presents the issue of conditions of values-oriented upbringings. At the beginning the process of values-oriented upbringing. Talking about values-oriented upbringing one should pay attention to the role played by various educational environments. The most critical place, where a child's hierarchy of values is shaped, is their family. It is followed by the school environment, which influences child's values in an intentional and purposeful manner. A teacher sending to children specific messages in a school introduces them at the same time to the world of values. A peer group also plays an essential role in shaping the values of a young person. Currently, one of important elements shaping the system of values is mass media.

Streszczenie: At the beginning, the progress of civilization and the increase in prosperity undoubtedly favoured the enhancement of the general society health. However, there is no denying that over the past decades there has been observed sedentary (sitting) lifestyle associated with aforementioned factors which turned out advantageous for the development of the so-called civilization diseases. Such lifestyle applies not only to the elderly, but also to the representatives of younger generation who are spending more and more time in front of computers, tablets, smartphones or television sets. Effective health education conducted from an early age can contribute to the consolidation of appropriate habits of taking care of one's health for all their lives. The key task of every kindergarten teacher is to bring about a positive health attitude in their pupils. The aim of the research is to analyse the actions undertaken by pre-school teachers that increase the immunity in children. In accomplishing this goal, it was examined how significant role teachers play in this aspect, because it is the teacher who stays with the pupils for most of the day. In addition, teacher's tasks include caring about children's health by shaping appropriate pro-health attitudes. The article presents selected hardening methods used in kindergartens located on the territory of Poland and Latvia. The comparative research was conducted in 2018 in Biała Podlaska (Poland) and Daugavpils (Latvia). The research includes pre-school teachers of selected kindergartens. The method of diagnostic survey was applied, whereas the technique was a survey and the tool, thanks to which data was collected, was a questionnaire. It consisted of questions in the field of health education and hardening methods. The results of the comparative research have shown that more pre-school education teachers in Latvia than in Poland have greater educational influence, introducing more diverse health-oriented treatments and physical exercises in order to increase children's immunity to temperature changes and cold diseases. Immune system is the weapon for the common cold. On the other hand, teachers of pre-school education in Poland stress the fact that children's immunity can be effectively increased not only by frequent outdoor activities while going for a walk during different seasons but also by proper diet. Therefore, it is worth implementing new methods of pro-health education in Polish kindergartens which are based primarily on being physically active and hardening. According to all surveyed educators, it can be concluded that the lack of parents' attention, rare cuddling, lack of common fun and play activities performed with parents finally cause greater or lesser frustration, leading to deterioration of the child's health. Streszczenie: Key objectives which are currently set for Polish primary schools include all actions connected with shaping pupils' key competences, especially the linguistic, mathematical and computer ones but also competences in the area of health. This orientation of education towards health and its promotion at the early elementary level, both as far as knowledge, skills and pupils' attitudes are concerned, is commonly realised in Polish school practice. The orientation of educational and pedagogical activity in primary schools towards health education results from curricular guidelines drawn up by the Polish Ministry of National Education, where the most stressed issue is the harmonious development of children, taking into consideration their needs, expectations and sometimes the necessity for therapy. On the other hand, the challenges of modernday civilisation indicate that all people would like to be healthy, fit, and active physically and socially. Therefore, health education realised in schools is particularly important, especially at the level of preschool and early elementary education. It results, to a large degree, from the developmental regularities of children of this age, acquiring certain habits by them and from education for values, including health. It is at the above-mentioned educational stage that teachers can accomplish the most. They pass the knowledge about health to their pupils, they form correct habits, attitudes, lifestyles as well as the quality of life. Despite the fact that it is a long-term process, it requires proper involvement, methods and even patience and cooperation on the part of pupils' parents. Having in mind the significance of health education in people's lives, the authors decided to conduct research whose main objective was to diagnose the practical dimension of providing health education in urban and rural environments in four randomly selected primary schools located in the district of Biała Podlaska, Lublin Province. The parents of children participating in the research gave written consent. Before starting the research, the following detailed objectives were formulated: 1) What health knowledge do second and third formers have?; 2) What educational activities concerning health did the pupils participate in?; 3) Can primary schools meet children's expectations relating to health?; 4) Do parents cooperate with teachers when choosing health topics?; 5) To what extent does the living environment affect pupils' health education? The research was conducted in two stages. In the first stage eight- and nine-year-old pupils were researched with the method of a diagnostic survey and a questionnaire technique. Overall, the research included 250 people. In the second stage of the study the researchers conducted individual interviews with the teachers who work with the above-mentioned pupils. Preschool education can be characterized by a holistic approach to child development and includes not only moral, religious, mental and physical aspects of instruction, but also health education which is nowadays referred to as preschool health education. This type of instruction focuses not only on the implementation of the issues related to physical condition but also on social and mental health. Furthermore, it strives to shape health-oriented attitudes which can have lifelong consequences. It is an undeniable fact that health is one of the most essential values in human life. It is a resource which enables individuals to thrive, reach their full potential and take on new exciting challenges and activities. However, in order to live a healthy life and appreciate its importance, health education should be introduced as early as possible. Education specialists claim that preschool age is an ideal time for teaching children about health and for establishing health-oriented attitudes and behavior. Taking into consideration the significance of encouraging and shaping pro-health attitudes among preschool children, attention should be paid to the importance of teachers' work in this field. Therefore, a diagnostic survey was performed in the number of selected kindergartens situated in Biała Podlaska District, Lublin province, in order to identify pro-health education activities provided by kindergartens. Based on the research results, conclusions were drawn and, consequently, made available to the institutions participating in the research. The scope of health education activities implemented by kindergartens is very broad. These institutions often go beyond the existing educational curricula and standard methods of teaching. Such activities will certainly contribute to the process of encouraging and shaping pro-health attitudes and a healthy lifestyle among preschoolers.

On the one hand, this information pertains to the essence of autism as a disease, its etiology, symptoms and treatment. On the other hand, it relates to the subject itself, namely children and adolescents with autism. There are more and more scientific publications and guides addressed to parents raising autistic children, teachers and therapists. Moreover, better cooperation at the institutional and individual level can be observed. In spite of the positive changes regarding public perception of ASD and the dissemination of knowledge on that topic, there is much more to be done in this respect. Therefore, the article is designed not only to describe the theoretical aspect of the disease but also the practical one by showing how an autistic child functions in the family. (...) By reason of the research subject, a standardized and recognized in Poland research tool for diagnosing parental attitudes toward their autistic children was used. The research findings revealed that some parents were diagnosed with attitudes which were not desirable in the process of childrearing, which in turn may have a negative influence on the upbringing and the development of a child. Relevant research results were made available to the parents participating in the study in order to help them take corrective actions because the best interest of a child should be a priority for its parents.
