A three-year experiment was conducted to examine the following factors: factor I - three potato cultivars: Bartek, Gawin, Honorata; factor II - five methods of an application of herbicides and biostimulants: 1. control unit without chemical control, 2. the Harrier 295 ZC herbicide (linuron + clomazone), 3. the Harrier 295 ZC herbicide (linuron + clomazone) and the Kelpak SL biostimulant (Ecklonia maxima), 4. the Sencor 70 WG herbicide (metribuzin), 5. the Sencor 70 WG herbicide (metribuzin) and the Asahi SL biostimulant (sodium para-nitrophenol, sodium ortho-nitrophenol, sodium 5-nitroguaiacol). The cultivars investigated in the experiment significantly affected the leaf greenness index SPAD, plant height, yield of large tubers and the vitamin C content. The herbicides and biostimulants enhanced the values of the examined potato characteristics. Linear correlation coefficients confirm a strong, significant, positive correlation between the SPAD index and plant height, yield of large tubers and vitamin C content.

Doświadczenie polowe przeprowadzono w układzie split-plot w trzech powtórzeniach. Badanymi czynnikami były: I - trzy odmiany ziemniaka jadalnego: Honorata, Jelly, Tajfun, II - pięć rodzajów stosowania biostymulatorów: obiekt kontrolny (bez stosowania biostymulatorów), biostymulator Kelpak SLŽ, TitanitŽ, GreenOkŽ, BrunatneBio ZłotoŽ. Największe plony i procentowy udział bulw dużych uzyskano w warunkach pogodowych 2017 roku, a w pozostałych latach plony były średnio o 1,1-1,2 tˇha-1 mniejsze. Streszczenie: he aim of the study was to determine the effect of biostimulators on the yield of three edible potato varieties. The field experiment was carried out in a split-plot design with three replicates. The examined factors were: I - three varieties of edible potato: Honorata, Jelly, Tajfun, and II - five ways of using biostimulators: control (without biostimulators), Kelpak SLŽ biostimu-lator, TitanitŽ, GreenOkŽ, BrunatneBio ZłotoŽ. The biostimulators used in the experiment caused an increase of yields (on average by 1,6 t ha-1) in comparison to the control plot. With unfavour-able weather conditions, unfavourable for the yielding of potatoes, after the application of the biostimulators a higher yield was obtained, by 1.2 t ha-1, than in favourable weather conditions. The biostimulator BrunatneBio Złoto caused a significant increase in the yield and had an effect on the structure of potato tuber yield in comparison to the control treatment. The varieties grown differed in terms of the level of yields. Variety Jelly produced the highest yield (an average of 51.05 t ha-1) and was characterised by a higher share of large tubers in the total yield of tubers than varieties Tajfun and Honorata. The highest yields and percentage share of large bulbs were obtained in weather conditions of 2017, and in other years yields were lower, on average by 1.1-1.2 t ha-1.
