This study aimed to evaluate the effect of verbal reinforcement on the placebo effect in the context of finger flexor muscle activation measured with surface electromyography (sEMG) and hand grip strength measured with a hand dynamometer in healthy subjects. Material and methods: Eighty-eight individuals aged 22.64ą5.2 years took part in the study. For each person, paper tape was applied (placebo). The participants were randomly assigned to 1 of the 3 groups: positive information group (P) - "the tape increases hand muscle strength", negative information group (N) - "the tape decreases hand muscle strength", and control group (C) - "the effect of the tape on hand muscle strength is unknown." The activation of muscles was assessed using surface electromyography (sEMG) while measuring the strength of wrist and finger flexors with a hand dynamometer. Each participant was examined twice - prior to and immediately after taping and providing verbal reinforcement. Results: Only group N manifested a decrease in muscle strength, from 39.7N to 37.6N (P=0.003). Group C displayed an increase in muscle strength from 34.3N to 36.4N (P=0.035). None of the groups demonstrated statistically significant changes in bioelectrical activity of the muscles. At no stage of examination were the differences between the groups significant. Conclusions: Negative verbal information combined with the placebo intervention resulted in a significant decrease in the strength of finger flexors. The definition of the term Interdisciplinary Team in the medical context is very simple. It is a group of people, specialists in various fields of medicine, dealing with solving a specific problem using the resources at the disposal of each member of such a Team. Polish realities in many cases are far from this concept, which, unfortunately, may result in worse therapy outcomes. Although each of the members of this team may think that his contribution is the most important, it is only the sum of all activities that translates into success, the effect of which is regaining the health lost by the patient, and this success is achieved by not one person but a multi-person team. Currently, it is not possible to provide a patient with only one specialist with the full range of medical services guaranteeing success. Treatment is a complex process involving diagnosticians (imaging diagnostics, laboratory diagnostics), a doctor, physiotherapist, psychologist, dietitian, nurse and many other specialists without whom it is difficult to imagine any treatment activities. The group should be led by a leader, but information on the patient's health should be available to each member of the therapeutic team, and decisions should be made on the basis of joint arrangements, so that none of the team members "pulls in their way" but contributes to mutual success, what a healthy patient is. The work raises problems such as the lack of reliability of information, points to the unfavourable phenomenon of "generalization" of disease entities and the frequent dissonance in the selection of appropriate therapeutic measures. The article indicates only a few situations that cause inconsistencies in the patient's rehabilitation process. The rights and scope of the work of a physiotherapist on the basis of current legal documents were emphasized, the possibilities of extending the qualifications of physiotherapists were highlighted and the opportunities that would be granted to physiotherapists after obtaining additional qualifications were emphasized as well.

Cerebral palsy occurs at a frequency of 1 in 500 newborns and is the leading cause of physical disability among children. Preterm birth is a major risk factor for cerebral palsy and more than half of children diagnosed with cerebral palsy are born prematurely. Factors predisposing a child to the development of cerebral palsy can be divided into prenatal, perinatal, and postnatal. Cerebral palsy can be divided into 4 main types: spastic, dyskinetic, ataxic, and mixed. This paper aims to highlight the need for hand therapy in children with cerebral palsy and the use of clinimetrics in pediatric therapy. The most common scales used to assess upper limb involvement are the Manual Ability Classification System (MACS) for children 4-18 years old with cerebral palsy, Zancolli classification, House classification, Assisting Hand Assessment (AHA) Test, Melbourne Assessment 2, Hypertonia Assessment Tool (HAT), Ashworth Scale, Modified Ashworth Scale, Modified Tardieu Scale, and general scales used to assess a child's gross and fine motor functioning. Finally, a sample hand therapy program for children with cerebral palsy was proposed. Najbardziej powszechne skale stosowane do oceny kończyny górnej to: MACS - skala oceny możliwości manualnych dzieci z mózgowym porażeniem dziecięcym w wieku 4-18 lat, klasyfikacja Zancolli, klasyfikacja Housa, test AHA - Assisting Hand Assessment, skala Maelbourne Assessment 2, skala oceny hipertonii - HAT, skala Ashworth'a, zmodyfikowana skala Ashworth'a, zmodyfikowana skala Tardieu oraz ogólne skale stosowane do oceny motoryki dużej i funkcjonowania dzieci. Na końcu zaproponowany został przykładowy program terapii ręki dla dziecka z mózgowym porażeniem dziecięcym.
