Materiał i metody. Zastosowano metodę sondażu diagnostycznego na postawie oryginalnej metodologii Kaliny, która polega na badaniu subiektywnego poczucia zdrowia w zakresie czterech mierników: zdrowia somatycznego, psychicznego, społecznego i zdolności przetrwania. Indeks SPHSA obliczono za pomocą średniej arytmetycznej poszczególnych mierników zdrowia i zdrowia całkowitego. Badania zrealizowano w 2014 r., na grupie 507 uczniów w wieku 15-25 lat będących słuchaczami studium policealnego w Łucku na Ukrainie. Wyniki. Młodzież najwyżej oceniła swoje zdrowie społeczne 3,82 (ą0,67), natomiast najniżej zdolności przetrwania 2,63(ą0,75). W kategorii zdrowia całkowitego istotnie najwyższe wartości zaobserwowano u uczniów o codziennej aktywności ruchowej 3,10(ą0,35), a najniższe wystąpiły u rówieśników o aktywności sporadycznej 2,78 (ą0,35). Podobnie istotne różnice wykazano między uczniami ostatniej czwartej klasy (2,82ą0,73), a klasami młodszymi. Wykazano istotne zależności (p<0,05 w poszczególnych profilach zdrowia. W zdolności przetrwania taki związek wystąpił u uczniów o codziennej aktywności ruchowej oraz u uczniów z dużych miast. W profilu zdrowia somatycznego w grupie uczniów z nadwagą i u osób o systematycznej aktywności fizycznej, a także w profilu zdolności przetrwania u uczniów o systematycznej aktywności fizycznej. W profilu zdrowia społecznego istotnie wyższą wartość wykazano u uczniów pierwszego roku studiów i najwyższych osiągnięciach edukacyjnych. Wnioski. Uzyskane wyniki badań powinny być wykorzystane w dyskusjach nad programami kształcenia młodzieży na kierunkach paramedycznych na Ukrainie. Streszczenie: Background. Contemporary studies of health and evaluation attempts emphasize the holistic approach to health and its dimensions. The objective of the study was determination of health profiles and survival abilities among adolescents, and indicate differentiating variables. Material and methods. A diagnostic survey was used based on Kalina, investigating the subjective sense of health from the aspects of somatic, mental, social health and survival abilities. SPHSA was calculated as the arithmetic mean of individual health and total health measures. The study was conducted in 2014, in a group of 507 school adolescents aged 15-25 attending Medical Post-Secondary School in Lutsk, Ukraine. Results. Social health was evaluated by the adolescents in the most positive terms - 3.82 (ą0.67), whereas survival abilities - in the most negative terms, 2.63(ą0.75). In the domain of total health, the highest values occurred for daily physical activity - 3.10(ą0.35), while the lowest - for occasional activity - 2.78 (ą0.35). Similarly, significant differences were found between adolescents of the final, fourth year of school (2.82ą0.73), and younger students. Significant correlations were demonstrated (p<0.05) in individual health profiles. With regard to survival capability, such correlation was observed in adolescents engaged in daily physical activity and students from big cities. In the somatic health profile it was observed in overweight adolescents and those who showed systematic physical activity and in the survival capability profile of adolescents pursuing systematic physical activity. With regard to the social health profile a significantly higher value occurred in first-year students and those with the highest educational achievements. Conclusions. The results of the study obtained should be used in discussions concerning educational programmes for students of paramedical specialties in the Ukraine.

http://archbudo.com/view/abstract/id/10484 Streszczenie: The knowledge of subjective sense of various dimensions of own health confronted with the results of particular health indices is a preliminary condition to develop appropriate long-term strategy of health-related training for a given person, specified professional groups, social groups relatively uniform in terms of one feature or features, etc. The aim of the study is knowledge about the diversity of the profiles involving sense of positive health and survival abilities of Polish students of paramedical sciences. The specific objective of the study is to answer the questions whether the subjective sense of positive health and survival abilities is significantly dependent on the field of education, declared physical activity, sex, correctness (or incorrectness) of BMI. Material and methods: The study involved 183 students (114 females and 69 males) aged 18-30 years old (x-22.3ą1.91) of paramedic sciences and of the last semesters of the following first degree studies: medical rescue (49.2%), nursing (28.4%), public health (22.4 %). The Sense of Positive Health an Survival Abilities questionnaire (SPHSA) was applied in the study. The profile based on the subjective sense of various positive health indices covers four dimensions: somatic (A), mental (B), social (C) and survival abilities (D). The sense of intensity of particular indices is evaluated in 1 to 5 scale (its value is as follows: 1 - very low, 2 - low, 3 - average, 4 - high, 5 - very high). The "0" index is used for evaluation of specific abilities (D dimension). The arithmetic mean of indices (after decomposition to diagnostic values) calculated for particular dimensions (from A to D) constitutes a general measure of a given health dimension and survival abilities (SPHSA index). Results: General SPHSA index of all tested students amounts to 3.72ą0.43 points and is comparable to declarations of other previously tested students studying other subjects. The sense of social health is the highest(x-4.20ą0.43), whereas the sense of mental health is the lowest (x-3.36ą0.75). Significant differentiation (p<0.001) among different fields of study involves the sense of mental health of students from nursing (x ? 3.92ą0.87) and students of medical rescue (x ? 2.97ą0.69). No significant relationship between increased physics activity (daily) and higher sense of positive health and survival abilities was determined. Conclusions: Large similarity of profiles and general SPHSA index of students of various paramedic sciences (with reference to comparison of both indices with previously tested students in other regions of Poland) constitutes an empirical proof that in-depth knowledge of body functioning is not a factor which modifies self-assessment about their own health and survival ability in difficult situations. It was a comparison of SPHSA profiles based on subjective evaluations with empirically diagnosed indices in the same people that can help resolve the issue of relevance of such s
