The following article presents the results of the research survey conducted among 359 Polish teachers working in primary schools, the majority of whom were women (91.4%) and men (8,6%), aged 25-60 years. The research using a questionnaire technique was conducted in 4 Polish provinces that accepted the largest number of Ukrainian refugees. The aim of the research was to identify the mechanisms hindering education and integration of Ukrainian refugee students attending primary schools and to obtain information on the assistance activities provided by Polish teachers addressed to the refugee students. Nr opisu: ns, is to increase this knowledge and develop habits and attitudes promoting healthy eating. Therefore, it seems advisable to undertake and conduct research among primary school students in order to learn about their awareness of healthy eating and about nutrition education activities undertaken by schools. In the empirical part of the article, there is an analysis of the findings of the research conducted among second- and third-graders (N=170) in selected primary schools across the Biała Podlaska district in the Lublin voivodeship. The quantitative research is complemented with the qualitative research in the form of individual interviews with eight form teachers responsible for the classes covered by the study. The analysis and interpretation of the results, on the one hand, indicated a high level of pupils' knowledge of good nutrition, which is largely influenced by the interesting educational activities conducted by the teachers. There are a lot of reasons which stimulate starting to learn a foreign language. Technological development and the appearance of global language communication as well as international markets all over the world increase the demand for using foreign languages. In Europe emphasis is put on starting to learn a foreign language early. Popularising multilingualism, i.e. the knowledge of a native language, one language of a neighbouring country and a language of international significance, is already discussed in the Treaty on European Union, called the Maastricht Treaty (signed in 1922) and in White Paper on Education and Training (1996). These two documents are in effect in Poland, which joined the European Union on 1 May 2004. With reference to school education, the Polish Ministry of National Education drew up objectives to achieve in primary schools. Słowa kluczowe: ucation realised in schools is particularly important, especially at the level of preschool and early elementary education. It results, to a large degree, from the developmental regularities of children of this age, acquiring certain habits by them and from education for values, including health. It is at the above-mentioned educational stage that teachers can accomplish the most. They pass the knowledge about health to their pupils, they form correct habits, attitudes, lifestyles as well as the quality of life. Despite the fact that it is a long-term process, it requires proper involvement, methods and even patience and cooperation on the part of pupils' parents. Having in mind the significance of health education in people's lives, the authors decided to conduct research whose main objective was to diagnose the practical dimension of providing health education in urban and rural environments in four randomly selected primary schools located in the district of Biała Podlaska, Lublin Province. The parents of children participating in the research gave written consent. Before starting the research, the following detailed objectives were formulated: 1) What health knowledge do second and third formers have?; 2) What educational activities concerning health did the pupils participate in?; 3) Can primary schools meet children's expectations relating to health?; 4) Do parents cooperate with teachers when choosing health topics?; 5) To what extent does the living environment affect pupils' health education? The research was conducted in two stages. In the first stage eight- and nine-year-old pupils were researched with the method of a diagnostic survey and a questionnaire technique. Overall, the research included 250 people. In the second stage of the study the researchers conducted individual interviews with the teachers who work with the above-mentioned pupils. Thus, children with ADHD often do not have friends, and even the immediate family members cannot understand their unusual behavior which is often not adequate for the situation. Historically, the incidence of ADHD was attributed to many different factors. However, nowadays it is believed that it is an inherited polygenic disorder and there is no particular gene responsible for its occurrence. In order for a child to function properly in a school environment and to cope with the demands of daily life, the incidence, causes and symptoms of ADHD should be diagnosed as soon as possible, and the therapy should be commenced at the right time. Therefore, the purpose of this qualitative research was to identify different methods and effects of the therapy administered to a pupil diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The pupil started to attend the first grade of primary school in Biała Podlaska, Lublin Province, Poland. The method of a case study was employed in this qualitative research because in case of therapy, education or even upbringing it is difficult to compare diagnosis and effects. This is due to the fact that the extent of this phenomenon and the frequency of its occurrence, especially among children, have been on the increase over the past years. Therefore, this issue is addressed by more and more specialists from the field of psychology, pedagogy, medicine, education and sociology. Children suffering from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder are not only restless but also impulsive and inattentive. Furthermore, they have behavior issues and learning difficulties. These symptoms make it difficult for such a child to function normally within the family, in the peer group or at school. Thus, children with ADHD often do not have friends, and even the immediate family members cannot understand their unusual behavior which is often not adequate for the situation. Historically, the incidence of ADHD was attributed to many different factors. However, nowadays it is believed that it is an inherited polygenic disorder and there is no particular gene responsible for its occurrence. In order for a child to function properly in a school environment and to cope with the demands of daily life, the incidence, causes and symptoms of ADHD should be diagnosed as soon as possible, and the therapy should be commenced at the right time. Therefore, the purpose of this qualitative research was to identify different methods and effects of the therapy administered to a pupil diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Therefore, the research was performed with a view to achieving a better understanding of the popularization of English language learning in primary schools in the larger context of a variety of factors. Basing on the analysis of research results, the conclusions reflecting real needs of learners as far as the more effective English language learning is concerned have been drawn.
