Streszczenie: Ukrainian citizens, fleeing from the war, find themselves in Poland, including towns directly bordering Ukraine, e.g. located in the Biała Podlaska district. Children of Ukrainian refugees are subject to compulsory education in Poland and attend schools of their choice together with children of Polish origin. The educational activities carried out by the schools include the formation of social skills. Therefore, the need arose to carry out pedagogical research aimed to determine the level of social skills of children attending intercultural classes (in terms of communication, sensitivity to the feelings and needs of others and showing help). The article presents results of study conducted among 121 children aged 6-7 in several primary schools in the Biala Podlaska district of the Lubelskie voivodeship. Statistical analysis of the research results showed differences in the level of some of the children's social skills. The highest variation in the studied group of children was found in the assessment of the following skills: control of one's emotions and the ability to speak about one's own feelings.

Streszczenie: The article focuses on the actual and important problem of upbringing of the children of preschool age with special educational needs. Characteristics of the components of the Program framework of preschool education for kindergartens for children with special needs are described: educational-didactic work with children with special educational needs; forming of communicative and social skills; support of speech development in children; the development of intellectual actions that children use in studying and understanding themselves and their environment; art education, etc. attention is paid to the need for individual diagnosis, planning and implementation of an individual educational (educational-therapeutic) program, which takes into account each individual case of working with children with special educational needs. It is necessary to adapt the methods and forms of pedagogical work to psychophysical opportunities, to the temp of work and to the limitations, associated with children development. The educational institution is obliged to expand the educational offer at special classes, that give disabled child the opportunity of abilities development and the educational changes equalizing.
